Murieston Crescent successfully transforms a derelict city centre site back into use as a high quality purpose built student accommodation.
The 120 bedroom scheme works a compact plan in to an extremely tight site, restricted by existing road and rail embankments and a listed railway bridge.
Replacing a former masonic hall and redundant rope works, the development blends a contemporary structure with traditional tenemental form to integrate the building into the surrounding Victorian fabric and finally create a bookend to the street.
