Old Ballet School, Glasgow

The refurbishment of the Old Ballet School represented a new venture for our client, where 56three collaborated with Conran Design to develop a design standard for specific Post-Graduate accommodation.

The sophisticated interiors include many bespoke and freestanding items of furniture to create a mature domestic aesthetic.

Each apartment within the Listed Building was unique, requiring specific layouts to be carefully developed ensuring furniture elements were consistent throughout.

The design solution was delivered with additional fabric enhancements within the building’s historic envelope carefully detailed to be sympathetic to key features.

The project was completed in 2017, resulting in a significant increase in the performance and rental income of the property.
