Having completed a series of drive’ thru bakery stores with no consistent aesthetic, we were approached to develop a new dynamic concept store, creating an immediately identifiable unit with fresh branding to match the aspirations of the business.
Our approach was based on an airfix model, whereby a series of pre-assembled parts are manufactured off site in advance of delivery and rapid erection. Removing steel, minimising material variables and developing a store entirely constructed from locally sourced timber was the result.
An exciting external concept was then developed to create an internal environment consistent with the outside. A refined material palette and clear layout generates a sense of enhanced space. Highly sustainable, the concept store includes highly insulated walls, a sedum roof and an air-source heat pump.
