Client: Empiric Student Property

Project: Victoria Point, Manchester

Date: Completed 2017

Built originally as a residential development consisting of 6 blocks of accommodation, 56three have been repurposing the buildings to provide dynamic student accommodation whilst introducing significant areas of amenity and greatly improved public and private realm.

Three buildings have been completed to date, providing a mix of Studio Accommodation and Cluster Apartments. Each building was stripped back to the original concrete frame and new internal layouts composed to generate the maximum number of bedspaces to enhance the asset value. New cladding and windows replaced failing materials, with a passive ventilation strategy developed to improve the welfare of the residents.

Basement Car Parks have been redeveloped to provide areas of amenity including Yoga Studios and Music Rooms in addition to spaces for Seminars, Ted Talks and socialising.

Having completed half of the 560 bedspaces, a vibrant and creative community is emerging within a greatly enhanced development.
