The refurbishment of the Grade A Listed Corn Exchange followed a series of intensive Options Appraisals for Melville Housing Association, to support their search for a new HQ in Dalkeith.

The refurbishment of the formerly dilapidated Corn Exchange was led by Michael Laird Architects, with 56three supporting to provide interior fit-out design services.

In addition to providing highly sustainable and unique office accommodation for Melville Housing Association, the redevelopment also included the delivery of a Museum for Dalkeith History Society and the provision of additional Private Office Space.
